Mike Robart
I am honoured to join the Friends Foundation Board. One reason is that I come from a family that includes four generations of nurses who have all worked at The Moncton Hospital. This upbringing has given me a much greater appreciation for the medical system and the many dedicated professionals who give sacrificially every day. It has also encouraged me to give back by serving on the Board. I have held several other board roles over my career, including with First Moncton Baptist Church, The Moncton Boys Hoop Classic, The Moncton High Legacy Committee and, most recently, with Community of Hope.
I am a graduate of Mount Allison University and CPA Atlantic School of Business, and a current partner with Grant Thornton LLP. Other than a four-year period working for the City of Moncton, I have worked for Grant Thornton my entire career in Moncton. I have held several leadership roles over the years at Grant Thornton including Managing Partner for New Brunswick, National Lead for our Small Business Practice, and serving on our National Senior Leadership Team.
My wife Beverley and I have three adult children: Alexandra, Josh, and Kate. We enjoy travelling, playing card games with friends and family, spending time at our cottage on Prince Edward Island, and the occasional round of golf.
