Wayne McDonald

I was pleased to accept the invitation to join the Board, as I have great respect for the dedicated team at the Friends of The Moncton Hospital, and know many of my fellow Board members who are also highly regarded members of our community. In addition to many years of community involvement, my past board experience includes terms with the New Brunswick Community College, Heart & Stroke NB, and the Canadian Cancer Society National Board.

I am currently the Senior VP, Corporate Relations for the Dieppe-based JD Irving companies and in this capacity oversee the community investment portfolio across our operations in both Canada and the U.S. My wife, Janet Lee, and I have three adult children, and a growing nest of grandchildren who we celebrate every day!

The Moncton Hospital is one of the cornerstone assets in our community and requires continuous and generous financial support to continue to provide exceptional care and services that we all may require at some point of our lives. I was pleased to be part of the last financial campaign and worked closely with some of the staff and campaign volunteers to achieve the most successful campaign in the Foundation’s history. I look forward to providing assistance and support to continue the distinguished legacy of the previous Board stewardship.
